107: Damien Jurado - Cloudy Shoes (Live from St Mark's Cathedral)
Though he's carved out a widely cherished and acclaimed career, I still think there's a world in which Damien Jurado is held in the very highest echelon's of those singer-songwriters that have outlasted the shift from the 90s independent scene to this ugly new digital world.
Still making thoughtful, expressive, unique records as and when he pleases, it was nevertheless a treat to stumble upon this new live recording of one my very favourite songs of his. It's taken from his 2010 album, Saint Bartlett – and maybe you'd like to spend a little time with that one today too.
Anyway, this recording shifted the shape of the space around me this morning, and I hope it does the same for you, however it finds you.
Magic will do, what magic does; living in your eyes.
